Result of the latest OBDN, theme was: Great classics of the world-literature. I don't read much - so it became Moby Dick.
The original size of this image is 100x80 cm! It is painted with acrylic on canvas. I made three of those tableaus for an art exhibition in hamburg that is taking place on june 1st. Unfortunately it is a little out of place now, for it is more an illustration than classical art. Due to this, "The Bilderwumme" is now my showroom
This tinny guy got lost on a space mission. He's alone now on a small and unpleasant moon with nobody at all to point his radiation weapon at, which makes him very angry.
This is a self-promoting illustration that I created for the annual calendar of “Die Illustratoren”. It’s part of a new style I created over the last year, especially for editorial purposes.
Every first of may "beetle-maniacs" and "classic Volkswagen enthusiasts" from germany and all over europe come together joining the "Maikäfertreffen" on Hannovers "Messegelände". I had the pleasure to be there, listening to a concert of the typical "Boxersound" and taking a close look to all the fantastic details, shapes, styles and tunings. For all who cares, here's a small visual impression of the show last week.

3 Years! Nearly forgotten! It is time to reminisce about the good old times with our cave-paintings, messages in the bottles and smoke signals... a good opportunity to look back into the deep and chaotic Bilderwumme archive.

Arte is showing "The Avengers" every Monday till Friday at 5:40 pm and I'm watching this stylish sixties serial with great enthusiasm. So it was time for me to try some "Emma Peel"-stuff. I switched on and off some layers and got four versions in the end and couldn't decide anymore wich one looks better. Here you see two of them.
By the way: I find the German title "Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone" quite more appealing than the original one.
Subject of the last Official Bilderwumme Drawing Night was barbers.
