This is an illustration, I did for a short story named "Steinpilze" by Manfred Bacher. It's about a little boy who accompanies his uncle, an engine driver, to work. In their lunch break they go mushrooming in the forest and hopelessly loose their way back to the engine left on the track. So they need the help of a farmer's son, who kindly takes them back on his motorcycle. As you see, they have a fast and hard ride through the forest. They are terribly late anyway and the mushrooms they picked are indeed toadstools (not very tasty), so the day wasn't quite successful.
Please don't mind, if some details of the motorcycle may not be really correct. I'm not very familiar with this field of interest and I didn't have enough time to do a deeper research on this subject. So I drew it from memory. After all it looks good on the first regard, doesn't it?
