Olf : Halloween Hunchback!

I really wanted to do something special for Halloween, but somehow I didn't find the time. So here is a little halloweenish scribble I did at the weekend.

PS: Welcome to the blog, Jörn!

Jörn: The incredible Iggy

Hi folks, i'm the new one.
Some of you know me (or my blog), for the others: my name is Jörn, i'm a very likable illustrator and grafic-designer from Hanover, workin' in a advertising agency. I'm proud to post here every second monday - thanks for the invitation, guys.
Beginning with a caricature of the famous Iggy Pop. As i heared, he's suggested for a role in the new incredible Hulk movie. So here is a first bare-skinned, top secret picture. (Of course it's not true – but Iggy would be a great one – or not?)

Lars : fellow occupant

This is Fridolin, my new housekeeping robot. As you can see, he's not really new, but I couldn't afford a better one. Though he's a bit rotten, he still does a good job keeping my home clean and tidy. It's just that he often puts things somewhere else, because his memory isn't the best anymore. So it takes much time searching for them. - Maybe it wouldn't take much more time, if I did his job myself.
But how could I be angry with him, when he looks at me this way?

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT : Ralf König in Hannover!

Coming Monday the famous German comic artist - and master of Knollennasen (conks!) - Ralf König will be in Hannover at the Literarischer Salon. There he will be presenting his latest book Prototyp. According to Wikipedia "several of his comics have been adapted into films, translated into fourteen languages, and publications exceed 5 million copies".

This is the official announcement:

Fiat lux!

As we have been informed he is not just only a nice guy, but he takes plenty of time to sign the books with a neat little drawing. So bring along your comics or buy one at the event. I will definately do so!

So if you are in the Hannover area take the opportunity to go there.

How to get there and more information can be found on the homepage of the Literarischer Salon.

I'm fit again and back into business.

As you might know there are black rhinos and white rhinos, well I would call this a black and white rhino.

Thies : Autumn Blues

It was raining cats and dogs last week, so I started with this weather resistant girl. Today the sun is out ... but anyway ... there will be mizzle days soon.

Olf : The Flu!

I've got the flu. That's boring. But the fates have been at least partially merciful with me. Yesterday I borrowed Shogun on DVD from the city libraray. You know, the mini-series from the 80s starring Richard Chamberlain and Toshiro Mifune. Television at its finest. Haven't seen it in ages. Makes being ill much less boring. Domo arigato gozaimasu!

Oh, I almost forgot. I did this picture for a pitch. Guess what the theme was!

Michael : Holiday Post!

Monsieur Mantel is on holiday at the moment. Somewhere in Denmark he is enjoying the terrible weather. So I'm posting today on his behalf. I suppose it's an editorial illustration for the Handelsblatt. Absurd interpretations are welcome!

Lutz : Die gestiefelte Katze

Back to the Roots!

An autumn inspired pice of work. It's getting colder and colder these days.
