Dr. Octopus

Today we have one of the arch-enemies of Spiderman:
Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius a.k.a. DOC OCK.
He seems to be very popular amongst Spiderman-Fans but I found him a bit uncool and dull.

So that was the challenge for me.

Next friday I would like to post a Doc Savage-illustration.
The bookcovers of James Bama + Co. fascinated me as a child.
And still do!

Olf : Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh!

Okay, I'm sort of continuing Uwe's Doctor-Series.

This illustration is inspired by "All Creatures Great and Small" which is known in Germany under the title "Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh". It tells the story of the veterinarian James Herriot.

I still like the TV series based on the books. It may be a little bit old-fashioned but it features a great cast and a lot of interesting side characters. Does anyone remember Tricky Woo?

This piece was really easy to do, because i found a good ref-photo with the pose and even the costume. So I combined my drawing with magic-beams and symbols and now Dr. Strange tries his magical weekendformula to fight the Weltschmerz;-)
